Oopiri, a 2016 Indian Telugu-language comedy-drama film, was directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by PVP Cinema. The film was simultaneously shot in both Telugu and Tamil, the latter of which is titled "Thozha," meaning "Friend." The cast includes prominent actors Nagarjuna, Karthi—marking his debut in Telugu films—and Tamannaah Bhatia, with supporting roles played by Prakash Raj, Ali, Vivek, Jayasudha, Kalpana, and Tanikella Bharani. The storyline revolves around Vikramaditya, a wealthy quadriplegic, and his caretaker Seenu, a former convict, as they come to understand that the true value of life lies in relationships and experiences, rather than wealth or physical limitations.
