Dookudu Collection Worldwide

Dookudu, a 2011 action comedy film in the Telugu language, is helmed by director Srinu Vaitla and features a screenplay co-written by Vaitla, Kona Venkat, and Gopimohan. Produced by Ram Achanta, Gopi Achanta, and Anil Sunkara under the banner of 14 Reels Entertainment, the film boasts a star-studded cast including Mahesh Babu, Samantha, Prakash Raj, and Sonu Sood, along with renowned comedian Brahmanandam in a supporting role. The storyline follows Ajay Kumar (played by Babu), a police officer and the son of former MLA Shankar Narayana (Raj). After awakening from a coma, Ajay's health remains critical. To facilitate his recovery, he decides to impersonate his father, stepping into the role of an MLA to fulfill Shankar Narayana's aspirations, all while seeking out the enemies of his father. The film draws inspiration from the 2003 German movie "Good Bye, Lenin!"
