Dammu, a 2012 action drama film in Telugu, marks the creative efforts of writer and director Boyapati Srinu. The film features a star-studded cast, including N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Trisha, Karthika Nair, Nassar, Sampath Raj, Rahul Dev, Kishore, Suman, Brahmanandam, Ali, Bhanupriya, Kota Srinivasa Rao, and Venu Thottempudi. Released in theaters on April 27, 2012, "Dammu" garnered a mix of reviews, receiving both praise and criticism. While critics lauded the performances of the cast and the intense action sequences, they pointed out flaws in the screenplay, the prevalence of excessive violence, and the use of double-entendre dialogues. Although the film performed moderately at the box office, it inspired an unofficial Bengali remake in Bangladesh titled "Rajababu - The Power," starring Shakib Khan, Apu Biswas, and Bobby. Additionally, it was later dubbed in Tamil under the name "Singamagan."
